MABACUP ITS 2022

MABACUP ITS is an annual freshmen event at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) with the motto “Dari maba, oleh maba, dan untuk maba.” As Head of Web Development, I was responsible not only for building the platform but also for leading a team of 8 developers. The main challenges were: • Delivering the platform within strict deadlines • Managing resources and task distribution efficiently • Aligning technical implementation with event objectives • Ensuring platform stability during competition days This required both technical execution and strong leadership.

I developed a structured roadmap for the web platform, breaking down features into manageable sprints using agile principles. Key implementation strategies: • Clear task delegation and ownership • Continuous communication within the team • Close collaboration with designers and event organizers • Iterative testing to ensure reliability The platform was built using Next.js and Tailwind CSS to ensure responsiveness, scalability, and maintainability.

The web platform played a critical role in the success of MABACUP ITS 2022. Impact highlights: • Simplified registration for freshmen participants • Enabled real-time tracking of competition results • Improved operational efficiency for organizers • Enhanced engagement through accessible and responsive design Beyond technical impact, this experience strengthened my leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. It demonstrated how technology, when combined with strategic planning, can elevate large-scale student events and create meaningful experiences for the university community.
